We are live!
The first product to roll of the production line seems to be Wreaph, the wreath made of recycled PET bottles. It is very likely to beat Pholiage which is taking a little bit longer than I thought.
At some point I want to ask locals if they want to take part in the recycling and have items produced out of what they process and bring to the workshop. In Turkey, bakeries used to accept prepared toppings to cook “pides” and “lahmacuns” during certain periods. Cheaper than buying ready-made. Win-win.
Can we replicate that process for recycled plastics? Then wood? Maybe metal? Fabric? Other stuff that noone’s ever thought of?
Perhaps we could involve locals in the production of their own furniture via booking a bench at Blackhorse and learning the skills to prepare some materials. We can design together and make together, guided by Phurniture’s expertise. Find, bring, denail, cut and machine the pallets and let our craftsmen do the nitty-gritty bits. Same with panes of steel and aluminium. Of course, you would need an induction at the workshop and need to book a bench. Wouldn’t that work?
What do you think?
